About Peibirders

This Listserv is designed to facilitate communications in regards to the observations of rare bird species on PEI as well as document seasonal and migration reports of sightings on PEI. Where possible, please use the following prefixes in the Subject Line: If it is a rare bird report please place " RBA: " in the subject line. If it is a Trip Report please place " TR: " in the Subject Line. If it is a Feeder/yard report please place " FR: " in the subject line. If it is a new year bird or observed out of season please place " FB: " in the header. This will facilitate the scanning of headers by those who are looking for specific reports or by those who are subscribed but live off-island. If you are reporting a Rarity, please document the sighting either with photographs or by a detailed written report. This is important in order to ensure that the sighting be included as part of the record for PEI. Using Peibirders

To post a message to all the list members, send email to peibirders@lists.upei.ca. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Subscribing to Peibirders

Subscribe to Peibirders by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list administrator. You will be notified of the administrator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the members list is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   You must enter a privacy password. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
