[Avc2020] Lunch Lecture Thursday September 29: Pet Food - Science or Marketing???

Hello Student Veterinarians,
Just a quick reminder about next week's lunch time lecture with Dr.
Clayton MacKay, DVM (see Dr. MacKay’s biography below). The session will
occur on *Thursday September 29* *from 12:30 to 1:20 pm in Lecture Theatre
A* and all AVC students are invited to attend.
The title of the session is *"Pet Food - Science or Marketing???"*.
Dr. MacKay is a career veterinarian who spent 22 years as a companion
animal practice owner of a multi-doctor generalist/specialty practice. He
spent 4 years in academic administration at a veterinary teaching hospital
and 13 years in industry.
He has been involved in organized veterinary medicine for the past 40
years. He has been Past President of the American Animal Hospital
Association, the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, the College of
Veterinarians of Ontario, the Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine and
the Society of Veterinary Medical Ethics.
Dr. MacKay retired from his position as Director of Veterinary Affairs,
Hill’s Pet Nutrition Canada, Inc. but he continues to work to increase the
visibility and importance of veterinary medicine to the public.
Please try to attend. Dr. MacKay is an excellent speaker and ambassador for
our profession and has a wealth of experience to share. See you there!
