2017 AVMA
 Veterinary Leadership Experience
 June 5-10, 2017
Post Falls, Idaho
First and Second year DVM students are invited to submit applications
to attend the AVMA Veterinary Leadership Experience (VLE). This is the
14th year this experience has been offered. It will be hosted from June
5-10, 2017 at the Ross Point Camp in Post Falls Idaho. All associated
ground expenses are covered through generous sponsorship from a variety
of organizations. The Office of Academic and Student Affairs will be
funding the travel and registration costs to support attendance of 1 to
2 AVC students in 2017 to a maximum of $1200.00 per student. Students
with an interest in participating in incoming student orientation for
the Class of 2021 are strongly encouraged to apply.
This camp will provide a 5 day interactive curriculum focusing on
emotional intelligence, community building, communication, team
building, resourcefulness, interdependence and ethical enquiry. The camp
experience is designed to be exportable for use by other veterinary
programs and it is the hope that the AVC will continue to incorporate
elements of this camp in orientation activities in the future. For
additional information on this unique program review the material under
the VLE Overview and Participant Detail on the web at

Affairs (attention Dr. Lamont) by 4:00 p.m. on Friday February 10, 2017:
